Student Wellbeing

Our Pastoral Care program fosters resilience and personal responsibility within each student so that they leave Mount Erin College as independent resilient young adults, responsible for their own learning and decisions that they make. Form teachers and Year level coordinators work as a team to support each student’s need. Mount Erin College’s Supportive Friends program is the recipient of an Order of Australia medal. Student support and assistance is provided through an extensive pastoral program.

Careers Counsellors challenge, advise and support students throughout their schooling from Year 7 to VCE with career, vocational and tertiary education advice and information. Students at all levels are encouraged to seek counselling with Careers staff and to utilise Careers resources for research purposes. Our Welfare Team offers in-school and outreach support for individuals and families as well as working with teaching staff to assist in the delivery of proactive programs to enhance the wellbeing of the school community.

Our Purpose

Mount Erin College is committed to providing the best quality support for all students. The College takes a holistic approach to supporting students and understands there is a myriad of issues that can impact on a young person’s experience at school.
